DRIVING DIRECTIONS
Program Policy Statement:
Lambertville Academy is a program of Fisherman's Mark, a private, nonprofit social service organization. It is the belief of the administration and staff of Lambertville Academy that wholesome relationships are a necessary prerequisite to growth and development in children.
A well-structured, well-run program can contribute positively to these relationships. Lambertville Academy staff, parents and children work and learn together by setting the child's individual needs and interests as a priority. Lambertville Academy exists because of them and for them.
Program Philosophy:
Our program is designed to teach our students to develop critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, to accept responsibilty for their decisions and actions, and, finally, to respect others. The program contributes to our students' social and emotional development, which in turn contributes to a strong community member.
This philosophy is used in development of the curriculum of Lambertville Academy. Each program is a structured, age-appropriate academic unit plan combining: Mathematics, Science, Language Arts, Creative Arts, Social Studies, Health and Physical Education.
Our approach to education lies in our sensitivity to the differences in learning styles and living environments of each student, through teaching them to process information using their strongest abilities.

Our Facility?
The Lambertville Academy is located in the historic Elvin K. Smith Hall, a three story brick building right in the heart of downtown Lambertville. Renovated in 2005, the building is air conditioned and handicapped accessible.
A large, open play yard offers plenty of room for riding bikes and playing outdoor games. A garden plaza and greenhouse offer opportunities for creating an edible garden.

Our Staff?
The highly qualified and dedicated teachers at nationally accredited (NAEYC) Lamberville Academy, are a vital component in making our school so special. Along with their experience and higher education, each teacher brings with them a special talent or interest to share with the children. This may be music, science, cooking - just about anything they love to do! Many of our teachers hold degrees in other disciplines in addition to their teaching credentials. This makes for a very well rounded and creative team where there is always an "expert in the house" on nearly any subject.
