What is Fisherman's Mark?
Fisherman's Mark, founded in March 1980, is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving those in need within Hunterdon County as well as other locales by integrating, not duplicating, services of existing agencies.

What type of services does Fisherman's Mark provide?
Social services, vocational services, GED and ESL tutoring, housing search and assistance, clothing, food pantry, nutrition services, referral services, money management and career counseling, personal and family case management, use of phone, fax, copiers, computers and more.

Why the name “Fisherman's Mark“?
Fisherman's Mark is an outgrowth of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, through which, prior to 1980, many community needs were met. St. Andrew was a “fisher of men.“ He brought people to a place where they could seek guidance and discover their own strengths. We added “Mark“ because each person leaves a mark in this world. At Fisherman's Mark we strive to help people leave their best “mark“-to become independent, self-reliant, self-sufficient and empowered.

How do I qualify for services?
No one is turned away, nor do we have demographic or income requirements. If your circumstances lead you to believe that you have a need, come and discuss it with us.

How do I get started?
Although appointments are not required, it is advisable to call ahead and schedule your first visit so you don't have to wait. The intake process may even be completed over the phone, if necessary.

I'm in a wheelchair. Can you accommodate me?
Yes, Fisherman's Mark is equipped with ramps and an elevator. The restrooms are also accessible.
